In Year 3 the children carried out an investigation to find out what makes up soil. They set up different trays with different materials in (banana skin, leaves, rubber). They will now watch to see how the materials break down in soil. Did you know that soil is a composed of five main ingredients: minerals, organic matter, living organisms, gas, and water.
